How often is my information updated on My MakingCents?
Your information is automatically updated each time you sign in to My MakingCents. Keep in mind that external accounts may take a more time to be accurately reflected.
Is my data secure?
We take your data privacy and security seriously. All personal information is encrypted through best-in-class industry standard protocols. We maintain strict safeguards, including firewall barriers, encryption, authentication procedures and physical safeguards to protect your information from loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure and misuse.

Who can see my external account information?
Only Navy Federal has access to your information. Your account credentials are encrypted and cannot be viewed.
Does Navy Federal do anything with my external account data?
Your personal information is never sold by Navy Federal Credit Union. See the Account Aggregation Terms of Use for more details.
What type of financial accounts can I link?
The following accounts can be added:
- Checking
- Savings
- Personal Loans
- Auto Loans
- Mortgages
- Investments
I can’t find my bank/financial institution. How do I link to it?
Most external accounts will be available, but some are not available due to data sharing agreements. We’re working with our data provider to provide more coverage.
Can I make changes to my external accounts in My MakingCents?
No, you can only view your external account information in My MakingCents. If you have specific questions about your external account, you’ll need to contact the other financial institution.
I still see a subscription service listed that I canceled in the subscription manager tool. When will my subscription cancelation be updated?
Your cancelation will update on our site after the following payment cycle. However, if you’d like to remove it sooner, you can manually remove certain subscriptions once you’ve canceled.
Will Navy Federal cancel subscription services for me?
We’re not able to cancel subscription services or recurring payments for you. However, we’ll route you directly to the merchant’s site so you can securely sign in and complete their cancelation process.
Are there any subscription services that will not be listed in the subscription manager tool?
Subscriptions that are not monthly may not show unless you have 3 consecutive yearly or quarterly payments (ex. Amazon Prime® and other annual subscriptions). Apple® and Google® subscriptions also will not show.
